The wars in Ukraine and Iran are becoming dangerously enmeshed | Christopher S Chivvis
Here’s what nobody in the Situation Room apparently thought to mention before our Fanta Fascist started rattling his tiny little saber at Tehran: wars have a nasty habit of bleeding into each other. Ukraine and Iran are now sharing the same geopolitical bloodstream — Russian weapons flowing through Iranian pipelines, Iranian drones lighting up Ukrainian skies, and an administration so drunk on divine mandate and defense contractor donations that it couldn’t spell ‘de-escalation’ with a cheat sheet. What was supposed to be two separate theaters of American tough-guy posturing is becoming one enormous, interconnected catastrophe with no exit ramp in sight.
And who benefits from this magnificent clusterfuck? Follow the money, as always. The defense industry — Raytheon, Lockheed, Northrop Grumman, the whole revolving-door country club — is printing cash faster than the Fed. Every escalation is a quarterly earnings call. Every entanglement is a new contract. The Epstein Class doesn’t worry about entangled wars; they worry about entangled supply chains. When conflict becomes contagion, the weapons merchants collect on every infection.
You should be furious — not just scared, furious. Because this entanglement didn’t happen in a vacuum. It happened because a foreign policy run by yes-men, holy warriors, and industry insiders has no coherent strategy beyond ‘more.’ More weapons, more sanctions, more divine mandate, more stock price. The bill for this chaos won’t be paid by the billionaires cheering it on from their superyachts. It’ll be paid in blood, treasure, and what’s left of American credibility. Midterms are coming. Remember who handed them the matches.

First Draft: Meet the Gulf ‘Spy Sheikh’ Backing Trump’s Insanely Corrupt Crypto Bank
Let’s paint the picture slowly so it really sinks in: a Gulf intelligence operative with ties to foreign surveillance operations is bankrolling a cryptocurrency venture connected to Donald Trump, and absolutely nobody in a position of power seems to think this warrants so much as a strongly worded press release. This isn’t a dark money story anymore — this is a dark money story with a foreign accent, a burner phone, and a blockchain. The ‘Spy Sheikh’ isn’t a Bond villain; he’s just the logical endpoint of an administration that turned the presidency into a pay-to-play casino and then left the back door open.
Crypto, for the uninitiated, is the perfect corruption vehicle — it’s fast, it’s opaque, it’s largely unregulated, and it produces the kind of paper trail that requires three forensic accountants and a congressional subpoena just to find the first breadcrumb. When you combine that with Gulf petrodollars, foreign intelligence interests, and a president who has the ethical framework of a vending machine, you get something that should trigger every counterintelligence alarm in the building. Instead, we get press releases about innovation and financial freedom. The Techno-Fascists are providing the ideological cover; the Sheikh is apparently providing the seed money.
Here’s why your blood should be boiling: this is what ‘America First’ actually looks like under the hood — foreign spy money, laundered through crypto, funding the financial empire of a sitting president. The corruption isn’t incidental; it’s the product. They didn’t stumble into this arrangement accidentally. Someone built the pipeline. Someone opened the account. Someone decided that national security was a reasonable price to pay for market cap. Find out who. Demand answers. And if your senator is still silent on this, that silence is its own kind of answer.

First Draft: 🤔 Netanyahu Brags How U.S. Cable News Let Him ‘Influence’ America Into War With Iran
File this one under: things that would have ended careers if anyone still had any shame. Benjamin Netanyahu — not some anonymous source, not a leaked memo, but Benjamin Netanyahu himself — is apparently bragging that he used American cable news as his personal war drum, nudging the most powerful military on earth into a conflict with Iran through the magic of carefully managed media appearances and a compliant pundit class that couldn’t find Tehran on a map but absolutely knew it was bad. This is not a conspiracy theory. The man is taking a victory lap. In public.
And he’s not wrong, which is the part that should piss you off. American cable news — the same media ecosystem that gave us wall-to-wall coverage of Hillary Clinton’s emails while ignoring a decade of Trump financial crime — is not a free press. It’s an influence operation with better lighting. When a foreign leader can credibly claim he ‘influenced’ the United States into a war by working the green rooms of CNN and Fox, the problem isn’t Netanyahu’s audacity. The problem is that he had a point of entry. The Epstein Class owns the studios. The Techno-Fascists amplify the signal. And the rest of us watch the bombs fall and wonder how we got here.
You got here because your information diet has been curated by people whose advertisers sell weapons systems and whose owners have offshore accounts. Netanyahu didn’t hack American democracy — he just used the front door that corporate media left wide open. The antidote isn’t outrage at a foreign leader for playing the game; it’s dismantling the game itself. Fund independent journalism. Demand media ownership transparency. And the next time a cable anchor tells you a war is necessary, ask yourself who’s buying the ad break.

North Carolina becomes first state to send out mail-in ballots for US midterms
North Carolina just dropped the first ballots of the 2026 midterms into the mail, and if you’re not paying attention, that’s your first mistake — because the people who want to steal this election absolutely are. Mail-in ballots going out means the clock is running. The same MAGA machine that spent four years screaming that mail-in voting was fraud — while simultaneously making it harder to vote in person — is now either trying to gut the process from the inside or flood the zone with enough legal challenges to make your head spin before a single result is certified. This is not paranoia. This is the Project 2025 playbook with billionaire backers.
North Carolina is not an accident as ground zero. This is a state where voter suppression has been refined to an art form, where gerrymandered maps have been redrawn so many times the cartographers are developing RSI, and where dark money from groups with names like ‘Citizens for Electoral Integrity’ (translation: rich people who don’t like when poor people vote) has poured in for a decade. The Koch network, the Federalist Society’s judicial arm, and a constellation of 501(c)(4)s that don’t have to tell you where their money comes from are all watching this state like a hawk. They’re not watching it to protect your vote.
So here’s your urgent call to action, and I mean urgent: if you’re eligible to vote in North Carolina — or anywhere — request your ballot now, return it early, track it obsessively, and tell everyone you know to do the same. The midterms are the one non-violent mechanism left to interrupt the corporate coup that’s been unfolding in slow motion. The Epstein Class is counting on your exhaustion, your cynicism, and your belief that it doesn’t matter. Prove them wrong with a postmark.

‘Revenge of the Rust belt’: Starbucks film-maker on Baristas vs Billionaires
A documentary about baristas taking on billionaires is exactly the kind of story American media is structurally designed to ignore — too unglamorous, too working-class, not enough yacht footage. But what happened at Starbucks wasn’t just a labor dispute over wages and bathroom breaks; it was a proof of concept. Ordinary workers, armed with nothing but solidarity and a catastrophically underestimated belief that they deserved better, organized against one of the most sophisticated union-busting operations in corporate America. And they made Howard Schultz — billionaire, erstwhile presidential daydreamer, lover of ‘not the union word’ — absolutely apoplectic. That alone is worth the price of admission.
Here’s the bigger picture the documentary presumably connects: Starbucks spent millions on union-busting consultants, captive audience meetings, illegal firings, and a legal strategy designed to drown workers in delay and paperwork. This is standard operating procedure for corporate America, funded by the same donor class that writes checks to the politicians who appoint the NLRB members who are supposed to stop it. The revolving door doesn’t just spin between government and Wall Street — it spins between HR departments, lobbying firms, and the dark money infrastructure that ensures labor law stays toothless. ‘Baristas vs Billionaires’ isn’t a quirky David vs Goliath story. It’s the entire American class war in a green apron.
Watch this film. Then think about every non-union job you or someone you love is working right now, and ask why. The answer isn’t laziness or lack of skill. The answer is forty years of deliberate, billionaire-funded policy designed to ensure that the people making the coffee never get a seat at the table where the profits are divided. The Rust Belt didn’t rust by accident. It was asset-stripped by the same Epstein Class that’s now rebranding exploitation as entrepreneurship. The baristas fought back. So can you.
