TL;DR: It was just a matter of time. Everyone who kisses Trump’s ass eventually gets thrown under the bus—and yesterday, Pam Bondi learned that lesson. Bondi, the woman who turned the Department of Justice into a 24/7 dry-cleaning service for Donald Trump’s dirty laundry, has finally been run over by the MAGA bus. Bondi executed Trump’s authoritarian playbook flawlessly: buried the Epstein files, repeated election lies, prosecuted Trump’s “enemies” (universities, Democrats, and late night talk shows), literally yelled at a congressional hearing about the stock market (because that’s totally normal), and spent every waking hour covering up Trump’s endless corruption—a full-time job in itself.
Trump fired her anyway, because loyalty isn’t a virtue; it’s a consumable resource. You can lie for him, obstruct for him, and set your own reputation on fire to keep him warm, but eventually, the bus comes for everyone. Just ask Mike Pence, Rudy Giuliani, or any of the other discarded husks littering the road to Mar-a-Lago.
Pam Bondi’s departure isn’t a “termination”—it’s a scheduled disposal. She served her purpose as the ultimate human shield, and now that the shield is dented by the sheer volume of corruption she was forced to deflect, Trump is looking for a shinier, more aggressive model. But leaving office isn’t a “Get Out of Jail Free” card. My deep desire: when Dems retake the House, they prosecute Bondi to the fullest extent of the law. Criminal activity should not be dismissed by leaving office. She broke laws, violated her oath, and corrupted the Justice Department. She deserves prison, not a comfortable retirement. Because in a real Republic, “loyalist” isn’t a legal defense for criminal activity.
It was just a matter of time. Everyone who kisses Trump’s ass eventually gets thrown under the bus. Michael Cohen. Rex Tillerson. Jeff Sessions. John Kelly. Mark Esper. Bill Barr. Mike Pence. The list is endless—a graveyard of sycophants who thought loyalty to Trump would be reciprocated, only to discover that Trump’s only loyalty is to himself. She obstructed federal investigations. She suppressed evidence in criminal cases. She lied under oath. She used her office for political purposes. She violated civil rights by targeting people based on their political views.
These are crimes. Federal crimes. The kind of crimes that send regular people to prison for years. Bondi shouldn’t escape justice because she was Attorney General. If anything, her position makes her crimes worse—she betrayed the public trust, corrupted the institution she led, and violated her oath to uphold the Constitution.
She did everything he asked. She broke every norm. She violated her oath. She turned “law and order” into “lie and protect Trump.” And he fired her anyway. Because that’s what Trump does. He uses people until they’re no longer useful, then discards them like trash. Loyalty means nothing. Service means nothing. Only power matters. And the moment you can’t deliver it, you’re gone.
The Epstein Gatekeeper: If you want to know why the Epstein files are still 90% black ink and 10% “no comment,” look no further than Bondi’s desk. As Attorney General, her primary directive wasn’t justice—it was containment. While the “Epstein Class” billionaires breathed sighs of relief, Bondi ensured that the most damning evidence from the “Island Vacations” and the flight logs remained “sensitive national security information.” She didn’t just protect the President; she protected the entire network of ghouls who think a subpoena is something that only happens to poor people. She treated the most important files of the decade like a game of Minesweeper—every time the public got close to a name, she clicked “Redact.”
Covering Up Trump’s Corruption: A Full-Time Job Beyond the Epstein files, beyond the political prosecutions, beyond the election lies—Bondi spent her entire tenure covering up Trump’s endless corruption. Trump’s financial crimes. His emoluments violations. His obstruction of justice. His abuse of power. His family’s grifting. His foreign business deals. His tax fraud. His charity fraud. His university fraud. The list is endless, and Bondi’s job was to ensure none of it resulted in accountability. She committed crimes. Real crimes. Not political disagreements—actual violations of federal law. She buried investigations. She refused to pursue obvious crimes. She blocked subpoenas. She defied congressional oversight. She stonewalled watchdog agencies. She classified evidence. She fired investigators who got too close. She dismantled the parts of the Justice Department that were designed to protect ordinary people, like you and me. Covering up Trump’s corruption was literally a full-time job—and Bondi dedicated herself to it completely, sacrificing any pretense of impartiality or commitment to justice.
“But the Stock Market” - Meltdown in real-time. Who could forget Bondi’s “unhinged” performance at the recent congressional hearings? Instead of answering questions about the weaponization of the DOJ, she spent her time yelling at lawmakers about the stock market, as if the DOW hitting a record high somehow pardons the fact that she was using federal resources to stalk the administration’s “enemies.” Between drafting “election integrity” lawsuits that were essentially just fan fiction about Venezuelan satellites and launching investigations into any journalist or politician who dared to mention Trump’s friendship with Epstein, Bondi was less of an Attorney General and more of a Chief Petty Officer of Retribution. She was the lead singer in the “Stolen Election” choir, even when the evidence was as thin as “Carrot Bottom’s” skin. She attempted to turn the DOJ into a private hit squad, targeting anyone from former staffers to independent journalists who didn’t clap loud enough during the State of the Union.
Accountability Isn’t Optional The narrative now will be that Bondi is “moving on to the private sector”—which is code for a seven-figure “consulting” gig at a firm that specializes in hiding money in the Caymans. But the American people cannot let the door hit her on the way out without a subpoena attached to it. Leaving office does not wash away the stain of obstruction. It does not erase the lies told to the public or the systemic dismantling of the DOJ’s independence. My deep desire—and it should be the mandate for the Democrats when they inevitably take back the House—is to prosecute Pam Bondi to the fullest extent of the law. We cannot allow “I was just following orders” or “I’m a private citizen now” to become the standard exit strategy for the “Epstein Class.” If we don’t hold the gatekeepers accountable, the next one will just be more efficient at hiding the keys. Because if Pam Bondi can spend a year burying the Epstein files, prosecuting Trump’s enemies, and corrupting the Justice Department, then walk away without consequences—then there is no rule of law.
There’s only power. And those who have it can do whatever they want. That’s not the country we claim to be. That’s not the democracy we’re supposed to defend.
